Is there an optimum amount of time one should spend per day on mental exercises, as brain puzzles and analytical thinking to prevent diseases such as Alzheimer's?

Re: Mental Exercises
studies have indeed shown that doing mental excercises wards off the dangers of diseases like Alzhimers.
By doing so it keeps the mind challenged and focussed.Mental excercises can be performed by playing various games like sudoku, chess etc.
eating with ur eyes closed is another mental excercise.
