Method: |
- Sieve and mix suji and flour. Add sugar and melted butter.
- Chop dates. Add small amount of boiling water, honey and lemon juice and peeled and grated apples.
- Grease a dish and spread half of the suji-butter mixture on the dish. Above it, spread the dates mixture and sprinkle walnuts on the top.
- Cover the date and nut mixture with rest of the suji-butter mixture.
- Bake for 35 minutes in a moderately hot (375 degree F) oven.
- Pie is ready to be served.
