Ingredients: |
| Finely chopped soft dates |
|
½ cup |
| Sugar |

1 cup |
| Chopped roasted walnuts |
|
½ cup |
| Milk |
|
½ cup |
| Vanilla essence |
|
few drops |

Method: |
- Heat milk and sugar in a heavy kadai and cook till the mixture forms soft ball when dropped in cold water.
- Add vanilla essence, dates and cook for few minutes.
- When it starts receding from the sides of the pan remove from fire.
- Add walnuts and keep stirring till it becomes luke warm.
- Using greased hands knead it like a chapathi dough on top of a greased surface.
- Roll it out into a thin chapathi on top of a greased plastic sheet.
- Roll up from one end like a mat (or swiss roll).
- Cover and chill in refrigerator. Slice into discs when it becomes cold.
