| Refined flour (Maida) |

| Castor sugar |

| Vanilla essence |

| Milk Powder |

| Baking Powder |

1/8 tsp |
| Soda- bi-carbonate |

1/8 tsp |

Method: |
- Mix salt, soda, baking powder with Maida and sieve it.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy.
- Mix milk powder into the above creamed mixture.
- Add flour and liquid milk in small amounts mixing well with each addition. Add essence and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake in a moderate oven (350 F) for 30-35 minutes or till done(a tooth pick inserted into it comes out clean).
- Remove from cake tin. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.
- Serve.
