| Refined flour (Maida) |

| Castor Sugar |

| Orange juice |

| Orange essence |

1 drop |
| Orange colour |

| Orange rind (grated) |

Method: |
- Sieve maida and baking powder together.
- Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg.
- Fold in the flour lightly.
- Add orange juice and grated rind and mix. Add orange essence and orange colour.
- Put the mixture into a greased and floured cake tin and bake in a moderate oven till done.
- Remove the cake from tin. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.
- Serve.
