Method: |
- Make crumbs of fresh bread.
- Heat milk and pour it on the crumbs. Add butter, lemon rind and sugar and keep the mixture for some time for the bread to swell.
- Beat 2 eggs and mix well with the above mixture. Bake in oven (380 degree F) for half an hour.
- Now, spread a thick layer of jam on the top the pudding.
- Take the remaining egg and whisk its white till stiff and fold in half of the castor sugar.
- Pile this egg white meringue on top of the pudding above jam. Sprinkle the remaining castor sugar on it.
- Put in a moderately hot oven for 15 minutes till meringue becomes crisp. Serve.
