| Medium sized beets |

| White vinegar |

| White pepper powder |

| Cloves powder |

1/2 tsp |

| For garnishing: |

1 tbsp chopped celery leaves |

Method: |
- Boil and peel the beet. Cut into long pieces. Chop the garlic.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the garlic. Fry over a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Mix in the beets. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix the vinegar, brown sugar and the cloves powder.
- Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes. Garnish with celery leaves and serve hot or cold.
