Ingredients:

Egg   2
Salt   1 tsp
Vinegar   2 tsp
Salt and black pepper   to taste
 

Method:

  • Heat 2" layer of water in a frying pan to slightly below the boiling point.
  • Add salt and vinegar to water break the egg in water taking care not to disturb the yolk.
  • Let the egg cook till the white is coagulated and yolk is firm (approximately 2-3 minutes).
  • Lift carefully with a slotted spoon and serve sprinkled with salt and pepper on a hot buttered toast.
