Method: |
- Heat 2" layer of water in a frying pan to slightly below the boiling point.
- Add salt and vinegar to water break the egg in water taking care not to disturb the yolk.
- Let the egg cook till the white is coagulated and yolk is firm (approximately 2-3 minutes).
- Lift carefully with a slotted spoon and serve sprinkled with salt and pepper on a hot buttered toast.
