Ingredients:

Refined flour   40 g
Butter   20 g
Castor sugar   20 g
Baking powder   1/4 t
Egg   1/4
Milk   to make the dough
 

Method:

  • Sieve flour and baking powder together.
  • Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg.
  • Add the flour to the above mixture and make the dough using a little milk.
  • Roll out the dough on floured board into 1/4" thickness. Cut into biscuits with cutter and prick each biscuit with a fork.
  • Place on a greased baking tray bake in a moderate oven (350 F) for 10 to 15 minutes or till golden brown in colour.
  • Remove and cool on a wire rack before serving.
